On 6th March, 2013 our club organized Quiz Competition, Mono-Acting Competition, Spell-bee and it was wonderful time competing against each other with positive energy and collaborations of teachers and students was tremendously large.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar bagged first prize in elocution competition under the theme ‘Is corporal punishment necessary?’ and Ms. Ananya Raha who won first prize in Essay writing competition under theme ‘Is todays’ youth useless or used less’ at the intercollegiate festival ‘Alegria – The festival of Joy – 2013’ organized by Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science on 28th January, 2013.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar and Ms. Alpana Sharma participated and won first and third prize respectively in Debate Competition organized by Ramseth Thakur College of Commerce and Science, Kharghar on 5th January, 2013. Where Rajesh spoke effectively against the topic ‘Freedom of speech-Are we enjoying enough?’ and Alpana spoke in favour of ‘FDI-Good or bad for Indian Economy.’ Our other two students participated enthusiastically against the topic-‘Computers replacing human.’

Our students – Ms. Alpana Sharma won the first prize in elocution competition under the theme ‘Values in jainism’ in Dineshbhai Mody Intercollegiate Elocution Competition organized by Department of Students Welfare at the University of Mumbai on 27th September, 2012.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar and Ms. Susanna Johnson bagged the first prize in elocution competition in Hindi and English respectively in the ‘Principal Mathews Chacko Memorial Intercollegiate Extempore Competition’ organized by the Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur on 15th September, 2012. The theme for the competition was ‘Values’ undoubtedly one of the most important issues to be addressed in today’s fast paced and materialistic world.

As 14th September, 2012 is celebrated as Hindi Diwas, we marked the day by putting together a small programme comprising of speeches, poem recitation and sharing information on renowned Hindi authors and other famous literary personalities who made our nation proud. It was a wonderful and informative programme as we realized the importance of preserving our National Language.
