On 20th February, 2023, the Literary Club successfully executed a planned activity on Pronunciation and Synonyms. The dynamic presentation was conducted collaboratively by Gayatri Roy and Umaima Dhature, F.Y.B.Ed. Students, who set the tone for an engaging session. Umaima initiated proceedings with a welcoming speech, outlining the Literary Club’s objectives, setting the stage for an enlightening experience. Gayatri seamlessly transitioned from the welcome address to the main agenda, introducing the first activity on pronunciation. Demonstrating creativity and organization, she categorized words based on their difficulty levels.
The activity not only captivated the participants but also instilled an element of enjoyment, as everyone actively participated in exploring various pronunciation styles. Gayatri’s inclusion of sentences and visual aids, such as pictures, proved instrumental in clarifying concepts, making the learning process both entertaining and educational.
The momentum of the session was maintained as Sonia Handa took the stage to introduce the second activity, focusing on synonyms. Sonia’s careful selection of words from textbooks, coupled with her eloquent explanations and beautiful usage in sentences, contributed to an interesting and interactive learning experience.
The students were not only enriched with vocabulary but were also informed about upcoming activities, fostering a sense of anticipation and excitement. The activity concluded successfully leaving the participants with valuable insights and a heightened enthusiasm for future Literary Club engagements.
The Student Council had organised for Hindi Diwas Celebration on 15th of September, 2022, to mark the importance of the centuries old Hindi language. Everyone was asked to communicate only in Hindi for the day. Students prepared speeches in Hindi and sung songs to highlight the importance of the language. The event culminated with some Hindi puzzles, games and quiz which surely tested our linguistic skills.
‘Books are a gateway to unfettered imaginaiton and limitless creativity’, from 27th August, 2022, a series of book review sessions was conducted by the college. The student teachers had to present a brief summary of the book which they have read recently. The main idea behind such sessions is to encourage and develop the habit of reading.
